I was in Wales not long after when I stayed over in the UK after a short work trip. My cousin gave me a place to crash at night which was much appreciated. I finally got to photograph Red Kites in action after wanting to do that for years.
Those trips got me wanting to do more action type stuff and getting away from the posed shots. So I've been back in the garden again and walking about when the weather cooperates. The deer rut was washed out by rain for me which was a pity. I've been trying something new in the garden and that's been working out. I'm working on those action shots now. I've got the basics of the setup right, I'm now figuring out the lighting.
Next year I'm already booked in to photograph Red Kites and Buzzards. I'm also hoping to return to a great location for photographing Osprey from up close - legally too.
Closer to home I've still got the Sparrowhawk buzzing me. He's a total camera tease, sometimes coming within 4 feet of me when I'm "unarmed". Last weekend 2 Buzzards joined in on the fun, their calls were loud and clear. I even caught a glimpse of one as it flashed over a field.
So more to come. Please come back to check out new posts.
